The Law of Attraction: Appreciation, the Key to Attracting Your Dreams

Many people will never get the law of attraction "to work right for them". Many people will fail and curse the law, saying it's a lie; however, upon closer inspection, these people are cursing the law for working, not failing because the real problem people have with attraction is incongruence in desires, actions, beliefs, and emotions. Which is to say that if you want the law of attraction to work in your favor, you need to act, belief, and feel in alignment with what you desire. A major way to do this is to appreciate things.
And this makes sense because if you really want to make changes in your life-and particularly if you want newer and better things-then, you must appreciate the things you already have. If you can't appreciate the small things you have now, then how are you going to appreciate the big things you desire?

Many people think at first that it's easier to appreciate things when life is working well for you. And while this is true to an extent, most of us are not handed the successes we want instantly upon asking. So, if you already have success, then be thankful for it; however, if you've yet to reach success, then you need to be ever vigilant to focus on your successes and to appreciate the success you have.
Far too many people have trouble appreciating the things they have. But because the things you appreciate are specific to you, rather than give you a formula, I'm going to offer some general things to be appreciative for and leave you to think of all the areas of your life wherein you're touched by amazing miracles on a daily basis.

Now, no matter how lousy you feel, here is a place to begin: "I'm thankful for my favorite thing on the planet" (replace that with your favorite thing, of course). For me, I'm thankful for philosophy of all kinds-even the kinds I disagree with because they too must exist for philosophy as a whole to exist. Regardless of how lousy I feel, I'm still thankful for the things I cherish. What do you cherish most? Why do you love it so much?
A closely related set of things to be thankful for are the "people" in your life. I put people in quotes because these may be human people or they may be non-human animal people. The person I'm always most thankful for is my cat, Trinka, who loves and cares for me in a way few humans could replicate. Who are you thankful for? What makes you love them so much?

Another thing to be thankful for: even if you're homeless, you have a higher quality of life than much of the nobility did throughout the Middle Ages. You have indoor plumbing, clean water, knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness correlation, vaccines, medicines, a further progression of medical science, showers, grocery stores and access to many foods, etc.

Many people just feel so-so about the things and people in their lives and as such are rather ho-hum about things. Stop it right now. Feel great about the things that you have, even though you know they're transitory. Thank your car for being there for you as long as it has and as faithfully as it has though it's old and needs TLC. Thank your crappy apartment for keeping you save, giving you a place to sleep, etc. Love your old computer for still hanging in there when lesser PCs would have crapped out long before. Love your phone for still working, even if that working is subpar. Love your angry, passive-aggressive, depressed, manic-depressive, or just plain mean lover for being with you-and love them for living such a difficult life.
In case you don't get my drift: appreciate everything you can about everything you can. Now, what's stopping you?
