People often ask me questions that
all sum up to "you mean everyone is totally responsible for everything in
their experience?" The answer I have to give is yes. The vast majority of
things in your experience are something you created-does that mean that you
directly caused horrible things to happen like cancer? No, but indirectly,
there's plenty of evidence to support that you did. The negative health effects
from stress alone are enough to kill you! And if you're constantly thinking
about negative things, you can bring negative things to you because you're
attracting the dominant things you think and feel.
And on a more obvious and secular
level, if you're already sick, it's clear that being stressed can cause your
issue to get worse-in other words, you're not doing any good by being stressed
before or after getting sick. So, even if your life has gotten to a terrible
place like being diagnosed with a terminal illness, then staying positive can
help you greatly by making you more optimistic, open to options, inclined to
want to keep trying, faithful in a solution, determined to overcome, persistent
enough to never give up and to ignore doctors, and able to attract health (even
if it's just as much health as possible) to you.
There are far too many cases of
people diagnosed with a terminal or permanent illness being cured or living far
longer than they "were supposed to" to because of some
"miraculous" means that comes through feeling fully alive and having an
unwillingness to accept the material conditions of their experience to ignore
either as a real possibility; however, on a more bleak note, after having seen
people and animals die of too many things including cancer, it's always struck
me that they'd be better off if they were just in a better mood as it
happened...
If nothing else, at least they
would have felt a little better-and if you take all the spirituality out of the
law of attraction, it's core message is very similar to the stoics: you have
control over how you think and feel, once you learn to do this, you will be
able to have peace of mind. And if terminal or life-long illnesses teach us
anything, it's that everyday of life really is a miracle-particularly the good
ones-because you never know how many you have left. So, why focus on the pain
and discomfort and..?
